Today I found myself thinking about how often we wait for the “right time.”

The right time to start a new hobby. The right time to chase a dream. The right time to become the version of ourselves we’ve imagined for years.

But life has a funny way of reminding us that there rarely is a perfect moment.

Lately, I’ve been learning the value of starting small.

Not every day is productive. Not every day feels inspiring. Some days are messy, exhausting, and filled with unfinished to-do lists. Yet even on those days, there is something comforting about taking one tiny step forward.

Maybe it’s reading a few pages of a book before bed.

Maybe it’s watering a plant you’ve forgotten about.

Maybe it’s sending a text to someone you’ve been meaning to reach out to.

Small things don’t seem important when we’re doing them, but over time they become the foundation of something bigger.

I think we give ourselves too little credit for surviving ordinary days. We celebrate the milestones, but often overlook the quiet courage it takes to simply keep showing up.

So today, if all you managed was one small thing, I’m proud of you.

And if you’re feeling stuck, remember that every garden starts with a single seed.

You don’t have to bloom overnight.

You just have to keep growing.

With warmth,

Ember
